Flower Garden Hot Pads

This weaving kit includes all yarns needed to weave these Flower Garden Hot Pads that were designed by Malynda Allen for Schacht Spindle Co.

Weave these sweet hot pads in overshot patterned doubleweave.  These beautiful patterns with a plain weave surface are woven on a four-shaft loom with 3/2 Perle Cottons.

The doubleweave creates two layers of fabric, so these hot pads are naturally thick enough to protect your hands and surfaces from pans straight from the oven or stove.

Weave Structure:  overshot patterned doubleweave

Yarns:  3/2 perle cotton in one color along with natural

Equipment Needed:  Wolf Pup LT or any 4-shaft loom; 10″ weaving width; 12 dent reed; two shuttles and bobbins, sewing needle and thread to match the yarn; sewing machine (optional but recommended)

Finished size: 6 hot pads, 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" each
